a solution

I had a problem and thought I had a solution. I stalked Ravelry and one wonderful person sent me a rescue package. Except as luck would have it it was not what is was supposed to be. Two skeins labeled the same colour of a different dyelot - or are they?

I think not.

So to plan B.

I managed this with 7cm of the green remaining. I quite like the result, don't you? Can you cope with the mismatched socks - so much I think I will have to try it again sometime.

Wow they really were different weren't they! Sorry about that. Glad you found an alternative you are happy with.

They look great. I love them. It is satisfying to find creative solutions to these little yarn twists ;-)

Now isn't that funny? I think you have a skein of Vincent's Apron, not Wasabi Squeeze. I met someone last year at at the WWKIP in Sydney (it might have been Knitabulous) who had a skein of one of them which was labelled with the other label and she swore it was the other colour. I wonder if it is a common problem with Jitterbug?

I think the mismatched heels and toes looks fabulous. I think I might have to adopt that idea!

PS I have a skein of Vincent's Apron - I'll try and remember to come around some time so we can compare.

i looove socks with contrasting toes and heels and these look terrific! that is so weird about the colour thing tho, never had that happen with jitterbug myself...

I love mismatched socks!! In fact at work we dedicate Friday to "Odd Socks Day". Got to create a bit of colour in an otherwise dull uniform :)

Great way to overcome such a dilemma. There's no reason not to make the most of a situation like this.

Yes! I love them. I do love mis-matched things. And even more, I love secret mis-matched things. Only the wearer will know of the different colours. Great solution.

What a good way out of the problem! The brown toe/heel look great with the yellow.
